Access Array System

A modular, flexible targeted DNA sequencing library preparation system Access Array System Automate amplicon-based library preparation with the Access Array™ system for up to 48 samples per processing run. Access Array generates next-generation sequencing (NGS)-ready libraries compatible with multiple sequencing platforms including Illumina®, Ion Torrent™, and other NGS systems.

Multiple chemistry options are enabled on Access Array, including Targeted DNA Seq Library Preparation reagents and Access Array reagents.

Technology:

Through a combination of Fluidigm’s exclusive integrated fluidic circuits (IFCs) and controllers, Access Array creates amplicon libraries using a unique tagging protocol, in which primers attach sample-specific barcode sequences and sequencer-specific tags to each PCR product. Multiplex primers build libraries for a few user defined genes to more comprehensive panels of up to 4,800 amplicons from hundreds of genes, and barcode sequences let you run up to 384 samples in one multiplex sequencing run.

Easy Workflow:

An entire target enrichment experiment from DNA to a finished amplicon library can be carried out in three simple steps, and completed in four hours with only 20
minutes of hands-on time.

(1) Step one: LOAD
In the pre-PCR IFC Controller AX, samples and primers are automatically combined into 2,304 unique PCR reactions.

(2) Step two: AMPLIFY
The IFC is placed in the FC1™ cycler for target amplification.

(3) Step three: HARVEST
After PCR, products from each reaction are pooled automatically in the post-PCR IFC Controller AX and pumped out for sample collection.
